Try the public library. If you are not familiar with the decimal system, just ask the librarian about books on investments in general and real estate in particular.

Don’t mess with Real Estate investing. It requires too much work. But, if you must invest in real estate, try investing in REITs (real estate investment trusts) – these are companies that invest in real estate. Their stocks are typically traded on the NYSE, NASDAQ, and AMEX. So you can look at the various REIT companies and see which ones appeal to you, then purchase stocks in that commpany via a brokerage. I do all of my stock and REIT research by starting on finance.yahoo.com. My brokerage is scottrade.com

You can get it everywhere. But don’t listen to those morons on TV telling you for $99.99 I can make you rich. Thats a crock. No one who is rich is going to tell you how to do it.
Now to your question. It’s called flipping. You buy a somewhat fixer upper of a house in a nice area. You buy it , fix it up then sell it for a profit in 45 days or less. Simple as that.

Depending on the area that you live in, you can go into a real estate office and explain that you are looking at investing. Speak with friends and family members who you really trust because they maybe able to refer you to someone. They can give you some insight. Also when speaking with a realtor make for sure that they take the time to explain to you EVERYTHING. Once you sign the contract , there is no changing your mind. It is always good to speak with someone who has had many years in this field. There are so many people who have built homes and are turning around and selling them but, aren’t experts in the field of real estate. That is only one area of it. Good luck and I hope that this helps
