If you search the Internet on all flooring types available, you will find millions of choices. That’s because the options on floor types are growing everyday. So if you think all these is too much, here are some ideas to get you started.

Carpeting comes in many different kinds like wool, nylon and pile. I recommend asking a professional interior designer if you’re thinking about which carpet to choose. For places that get a lot of foot traffic, you can go with durable wool. Berber would be great for family rooms. Price ranges between $15 and $30 per yard.

Ceramic tiles give a sleek and designer look. It comes in different sizes which vary depending to your taste. The colors you can choose from are also endless. However, it is less durable than most materials so use it in places where it won’t get too much abuse. Prices are usually $8 to $15 per square foot.

Polished concrete offers the best of all options. It can give you a more contemporary look as marble but it is as cheap as ceramic tiles. If you’re worried it’s too cold, contractors can put heating tubes underneath to keep it warm in the winter. It also comes in many colors.

These are just some ideas. There are a lot more available out there and all you have to do is take your pick. As always, it’s best to consult professionals when you’re making a decision.
