It’s St. Paddy’s Day again!

St. Patricks Day is taking over Jackson, Mississippi as the annual Mals St. Paddys Parade begins with a bang. Guests, visitors, spectators and enthusiasts are sure to flock again at this annual festive celebration. Greens, shamrocks, pots of gold, leprechauns and good luck symbols will once again flood this unique and exciting extravaganza.

There will be lots of performances, dance scores and musical extravaganzas on this one-day event. Talents in their wonderful and colorful costumes will entertain the visitors with their surprise numbers. The Festival is in commemoration to Irelands patron saint St. Patrick. It is also held in many states in America since Irish population is reportedly growing in these areas.

Even Americans (non-Irish) embrace this festival because of the richness and the interesting history behind it. St. Patrick is known to be the one who brought Christianity to Ireland. He was also responsible to drive away all snakes in Ireland, an ancient symbol for paganism. Ireland was once a pagan country. A snake or a serpent is an ancient symbol of paganism that was once the dominant religion in Ireland.

Mals St. Paddys Day is truly an event not to miss! It is going to be broadcasted live on TV stations and radio stations across Mississippi and the whole country. Media, Actors and VIPs are sure to be spotted on this Festival. Expect young adults adorn in their fun Festival accessories and memorabilia in this show. Kids will be in their usual shamrock-glittered face paints and colorful green beaded necklaces.

The Festival will also be raising funds for the Blair E. Batson Memorial Hospital for children. An equally fun and refreshing after party will follow at the famous Hal and Mal (The Brothers) pub after the parade. Don’t miss this chance and be there, or be square!
