A duo of car thieves was arrested by mall security after a failed carjacking attempt. The apprehended suspects, Chavo Rodriguez and Ramon Fuentes, were breaking into a parked car at a Houston shopping center when their targeted vehicle rang an alarm.
The man who owned the car was Chris Jefferson. He stated that he had furnished his vehicle with additional vehicle safety products, different from the primary car alarm. Among these were motion detectors and a vibration alarm. These extra features caught the thieves by surprise.
