Airsoft guns are typically 3mm or 4mm guns that shoot small rubber bb’s. The bb’s are forced out of the gun with high powered forced air. These guns are becoming a very popular part of many reenactments and hunting games that take place in wooded areas.
There are many states across the United States that have regular reenactments of important battles that have once taken place in our history. The men and women that participate in these mock battles are using the airsoft guns to portray the battles.
These guns are realistic looking and because they do not shot actual ammunition they are safer to use. When visitors come from all around to witness the reenactments they are in for a very realistic experience which will surely lead them to emotion as they watch the battle unfold.
The Airsoft guns are also used by some people to play hunting games. A group of friends and family get together and try to find each other in the woods. It is a game of skill and expertise as they have to sneak into the area of one of their friends and claim a victim.
Everyone who participates usually dresses in a camouflage outfit or some other pieces of clothing that will allow them to blend in with the wooded area. Once everyone has agreed on the boundaries that they will be playing between, the game begins.
After a certain amount of time goes by, the game begins. They all begin moving very stealthily through the woods and try to locate their opponents without first being found by them. Your opponents try to blend in but inevitably they will be found.
As a person finds one of their opponents, they shoot them with the Airsoft gun. This person is then out of the game. The last one that is left that has not been hit is deemed to be the winner.
Just because the Airsoft gun uses rubber bb’s does not make it extremely safe. It is still a gun. If a person is hit with the bb’s they will surely have a bruise to remind them that they were tagged. If a person was to get hit at close range, the bb may be powerful enough to break the skin.
The Airsoft guns are not toys. Sure, they do not have live ammunition in them but they should not be treated as anything less than any other gun. You should never allow a child of any age to play with or handle the Airsoft gun. If a teen boy or girl is allowed to operate the Airsoft gun, they should be heavily monitored while doing so.
If the rubber bb from the Airsoft gun hits someone in the face and eye area, the chances of long term damage are increased. The bb’s, while not able to break the skin, can surely become lodged into someone’s eyes if caution is not used when operating them.
The airsoft guns are a less lethal weapon than a gun that shoots bullets. It is used to help demonstrate some important times in the history of our Country and is also used for some adventurous fun in the woods by some people. Check out the airsoft guns and see the compelling differences between them and a real gun.

The laws of the land, most commonly set an age for purchasing an airsoft gun. The most common age is twelve, however there are some models available which use soft ammunition which can be purchased by an eight year old. Either way, the purchase and use of air soft guns need to be treated with the same respect as a real live firearm. Airsoft guns can be a good source of recreation and every child should have the oppertunity to own and operate them.
Some people which reside in more rural areas, will use these types of guns to get rid of pests. Commonly, when a pest enters the boundaries of the yard, such as a stray cat, or when a rabbit enters the garden, these guns work well to eliminate these pests from destroying a homeowners plants or air conditioning units.
The most important thing to explain to a child about a gun, is how to put the gun on safety. Usually, there is a button that will need placed into the correct position, which ensures there will be no accidental firing of the gun. Then the child needs to know, the safety switch needs to be on at all times when the gun is not being used.
While the gun is on safe, the correct procedure of loading ammunition needs to be learned by the child. Always stress the fact that gun needs to be on the safe mode before loading, unloading, and reloading. Then explain the importance of where the barrel of the gun is, the barrel location of the gun is another important gun handling lesson.
Now there needs to be a shooting lesson learned. When a child shoots a gun for the first time, chances are while freehandedly holding the gun they will not hit the target. The sights need to be adjusted and the gun will have to be stationary while doing this. Then the child will need to be taught how to look through the sites, in order to hit the target accurately and consistently.
When using the sights of a gun, the child needs to be observed rather closely, to ensure the correct eye dominance is being used. Sometimes, a child can be shooting right handed, but the left eye is dominant. This can be noticed when a child is looking completely over the gun, instead of straight down the barrel.
When a child enjoys the operation of the airsoft guns, chances are they will want to graduate into a real gun someday. These fundamentals of firearm handling will assist in forming the foundation for using safety at all times.
The best way to correct the eye dominance problem is to cover the eye that is dominant, and allow the child to shoot while using the other eye. The child will probably miss the target several times before the correct eye to hand dominance is corrected. This could take several attempts, but it will be corrected using this procedure. Airsoft guns are the best training gun to correct this problem

Airsoft guns are safer forms of highly-evolved BB guns. These guns fire plastic versions of the metal ball bearings that almost took your eye out all those years ago. These started in Asia where cheap, spring-operated plastic versions of the BB gun were made, before a clever producer noticed a demand for a more refined version for more adult war games.
Since then, technology and refinement have increased in leaps and bounds, and now there are hundreds of guns, of varying quality and types, to choose from. This has also been fuelled by the fastest growing outdoor sport since 2001 – called simply Airsoft.
There were many manufactures making hundreds of different sizes and systems. Since then, the BB calibre has been standardised to 6mm or 8mm. Also, the Airsoft gun system for shooting these pellets has evolved from a simple hand-cocked spring to the most common method (for larger guns): an electrically-operated motor that drives gears to automatically cock, pull back the spring bolt, and release the bolt to shoot the BB. The automatic firing mechanism is now called the AEG – Automatic Electric Gun.
The Airsoft gun fires pellets at around 200 to 500 feet per second (60 to 150 metres per second). These are fired at rates of 300 to 2000 BBs per minute. Gun capacity is limited by the magazine size: low cap: around 50 BBs, mid cap: around 120 BBs, or high-cap: 200-500+ BBs. The BBs in the magazines are pushed into the chamber by a spring, or by a manually-operated ratchet. Also available are electrically-operated magazines that may hold up to 5000 pellets. When entering a MilSom Airsoft game, however, you may need to prove you have limited capacity of a certain number of pellets to make for a more true to life gaming experience.
However, gas-powered Airsoft guns are becoming increasingly popular due to more realistic noise and recoil. These are powered, usually, by propane in a proprietary container, screwed to the back of the gun. Recently, the possibility to ‘charge’ your gun using a camping gas propane tank has appeared. This gas type of gun is more common on Airsoft pistols than rifles due to the size of the motor and gear mechanism necessary to shoot the BB. AEGs have a longer range than gas guns, and the batteries usually last longer than a charge of gas.
Airsoft guns are also getting better in terms of quality, with metal being used for many parts. Aluminium and alloys are taking the part of plastic in many of the moving parts, making them more durable and longer-lasting. However, most of the gun is still plastic. Some guns even have metal weights in them to make them feel like the real thing.
Muzzle velocity in AEGs may range anywhere from 50 m/s (160 ft/s) to around 125 m/s (410 ft/s). Modifications to the gun may allow velocity to be increased up 180 m/s (590 ft/s). There are also motorised units available called hop-up units which cause the bullet to backspin, increasing lift, and so range. Typical range can be 75 metres (250ft), which may be doubled by the unit.
When you play Airsoft, it may be difficult to know if you have been hit. You can buy 6mm paint balls for your gun, but these may break in the gun, meaning bye-bye gun.

With so many different airsoft guns on the market, it can be time consuming and troublesome trying to find the exact design that fits your needs and budget. Electric airsoft guns are a type of airsoft gun with many different styles and types to choose from and will narrow down your search. For example, there are both semi and fully automatic styles which create a selection of assault rifles, submachine guns, and pistols. What you plan on using the airsoft gun for will help you determine what kind of airsoft gun you should purchase as they all vary in terms of power, accuracy, and price.
There are so many things to keep in mind when looking to buy an electric airsoft gun. In order to make sure you get the one that is best for you, consider things like the required upkeep, various functions, the FPS and RPM, and other such specs.
If you want to practice shooting targets such as pop cans, you can make pretty good use of lower priced designs like a spring rifle or simple pistol. The more expensive high precision electric guns are the ones used by airsoft games enthusiasts.
Since the type of airsoft gun you choose can improve your shooting performance, it is also possible for the gun you’re using to negatively affect your performance. This happens when the wrong gun is being used for a certain activity, so be careful about making the right selection.
Whether it’s an electric airsoft rifle or electric pistol, the instantaneous firing response of electric airsoft guns provides a huge advantage for simulation games. In addition, these electric types come with battery powered motors and boast high capacity magazines.
Low powered electric guns (LPEGs), Middle powered electric guns (MPEGs), and Automatic electric guns (AEGs) are the three main categories for electric airsoft rifles. Beginners can make great use of LPEGs as they are full sized rifles but have plastic gearboxes which use less power than metal ones. MPEGs do have the more powerful metal gearbox and do not require batteries and a charger for continuous play like LPEGs do.
Automatic electric guns are the product of choice for seasoned airsoft shooters and games participants. Skilled shooters can appreciate the all-metal components and fully automatic capabilities of these electric machine guns. There is also a wide range of extremely accurate and powerful electric pistols.
Like many products, the quality of these guns increases with pricing, so the quality you’re looking for will affect the price you pay and vice versa. In other words, buying an airsoft gun based mainly on price is a mistake that should be avoided. After all, it doesn’t matter how little you paid if it can’t fulfill its intended purpose. This is why it’s so important to make sure you look at the performance, maintenance, and other airsoft gun specifications first, decide on what you require next, and then make an affordable selection from within that range.
